Welcome to Desert Beauty Australia!
The Oreocereus trollii is a lovely columnar cactus named after the German botanist Wilhelm Troll, that grows with thick white hair over its brown spines. These hairs allow it to thrive in full-sun environments, and can become sparse if the plant is grown in too much shade. This plant can produce red flowers, usually after it has grown a few feet tall.
Like most cactus, Oreocereus trollii grows best in a gritty, well-draining mix which allows it's roots to dry in-between watering. This plant grows best in partial shade where it can get all the benefits of bright light without being scorched on hot days.
Your plant/s will be posted bare-rooted and safely packaged. If you're interested in this item, don't miss our other cactus varieties!
Please note that unless specified otherwise, the flowers on your plant may be different to those shown in pictures. Also, your plant may vary in colour/patterning from those in the pictures, due to the nature of the species' variability, different climates, and different growing conditions.
Unfortunately due to regulations we cannot post to WA, TAS or NT.
