The Euphorbia trigona, or African Milk Tree, is an interesting succulent that resembles a cactus, leading to it often being misunderstood as one. This plant develops both spikes and leaves, and branches easily to create a lovely feature plant. The nickname African Milk Tree comes from the white sap that freely flows from this plant when it is wounded. This sap is toxic, and should be avoided using gloves and eye-protection.

Being a Euphorbia, this plant has a toxic sap that should be completely avoided. Gloves and safely eyewear should be used when handling this plant.

Like most succulents, the Euphorbia trigona grows best in a gritty, well-draining mix which allows it's roots to dry in-between watering. This plant can grow in full sun or partial shade, where it can get all the benefits of bright light without being scorched.

Despite its appearance, this plant is not technically a cactus but rather a Euphorbia, a type of succulent.

Your plant/s will be posted bare-rooted and safely packaged. If you're interested in this item, don't miss our other succulent varieties!

Please note that unless specified otherwise, the flowers on your plant may be different to those shown in pictures. Also, your plant may vary in colour/patterning from those in the pictures, due to the nature of the species' variability, different climates, and different growing conditions.
