The Euphorbia horrida is a spiky South African succulent that grows in compact clumps of blue-grey to grey-green stems. New growth at the top of each stem can appear a striking pink/red colour. The stems themselves can sometimes have a varying degree of stripes appearing along their bodies.
Being a Euphorbia, this plant has a toxic sap that should be completely avoided. Gloves and safely eyewear should be used when handling this plant.
Like most succulents, the Euphorbia horrida grows best in a gritty, well-draining mix which allows it's roots to dry in-between watering. This plant prefers to grow in partial shade, where it can get all the benefits of bright light without being scorched.
Despite its appearance, this plant is not technically a cactus but rather a Euphorbia, a type of succulent.
Your plant/s will be posted bare-rooted and safely packaged. If you're interested in this item, don't miss our other succulent varieties!
Please note that unless specified otherwise, the flowers on your plant may be different to those shown in pictures. Also, your plant may vary in colour/patterning from those in the pictures, due to the nature of the species' variability, different climates, and different growing conditions.
Unfortunately due to regulations we cannot post to WA, TAS or NT.
