Espostoa senilis, or Thrixanthocereus senilis, is a cactus which grows dense white spines to protect itself from excess sunlight, growing up to 2-3 metres tall in 20 or more years. Older specimens can produce offsets from their base, and can be quite striking to behold.

Like most cactus, Espostoa senilis grows best in a gritty, well-draining mix which allows it's roots to dry in-between watering. This plant prefers partial shade or full sun, and will produce less of it's white hair - which protects it from excess sunlight - when grown in the shade.

Your plant/s will be posted bare-rooted and safely packaged. If you're interested in this item, don't miss our other cactus varieties!

Please note that unless specified otherwise, the flowers on your plant may be different to those shown in pictures. Also, your plant may vary in colour/patterning from those in the pictures, due to the nature of the species' variability, different climates, and different growing conditions.

Unfortunately due to regulations we cannot post to WA, TAS or NT.
